The Penguinr/c P7500s Performance Chassis is designed to increase and improve the performance of your Xray M18 chassis. This is done through exclusively developed shock towers and the ability to give maximum placement opportunities for your electronics. The chassis is produced out of M1.5 Quasi Grade Graphite and includes a matching upper deck and motor mount. This M140 Version of the P7500 Chassis also has the ability to be used with the extensive line of 140mm micro bodies. 140mm wheelbase gives quicker response to the car which is good for shorter or tigher tracks. click on picture for larger view The P7500 exclusive shock towers for the P7500/P7500s/M18 provide the chassis with the means to accept additional suspension settings through the use of stiffer springs without the side effects posed when using the stock shock locations. The stock suspention locations and mounts are provided and retained for adjustment capability. These shock towers are made out of M3.0 Quasi Grade Graphite. click on picture for larger view (P7500 shown) In addition to the above performance enhancements, the P7500 includes an integrated interlocking 180 vertical motor mount. This motor mount raises the motor over the shaft to allow the shorter wheelbase car to accept 6-Cells without issue. The interlocking design of this motor mount secures its position between the upper and lower deck without the use of screws. The secured position of the motor mount improves the consistency of the gear mesh. This protects the gears from damage and improves efficiency under normal operating circumstances. In addition to the 180 motor mount we have several optional motor mounts available. These include a 180size side mount (P7504m180), 300size side mount (P7504m300),and 300 vertical mount (P7505m300). The horizontal mounts allow for a lower center of gravity but do limit the sace availible on the chassis for other electronics. The P7500s includes a solid graphite shortened driveshaft to reduce rotating mass along with allowing the adjustment to the 140mm length. click on picture for larger view The P7500s provides an almost unlimited array of methods for mounting the electroncs on the chassis. The P7500s is designed as a symmetrical chassis, this means that the chassis can be balanced left and right to achieve the optimum weight balance. The P7500s is designed to have flat mounting locations for the batteries or optional battery plates which allows usage of any normal cell type including the newer lithium polymer flat cells. The P7500s comes standard with one set of P7509a 6-cell battery trays, these trays allow the use of a standard 2/3A saddle pack on the car. The tray system attaches through the use of two screws on each plate and can be moved about the chassis using the exiting holes to acheive a weight balance to suit any track and driving style. Optional is a 5Cell tray (P7509d) which can be placed down one side of the chassis that allows for a more conventional side mount motor 5 cell setup. click on picture for larger "on car" view The P7500s chassis kit includes Upper and Lower Chassis Plates made out of M1.5 Quasi-Grade woven carbon graphite plate, M2.0 180size Vertical Motor Plate, Solid Carbon 140mm Driveshaft, M3.0 Graphite Front and Rear Shock Towers, M3.0 Rear Stock Suspension Plates, (2)M1.5 G10 3-cell Battrey Trays, Directions, and all hardware required to convert your Xray M18 to the P7500s. |
