The Penguinr/c P7500 Performance Chassis is designed to increase and improve the performance of your Xray M18 chassis. This is done through newly developed exclusive shock towers and the ability to give maximum placement opportunities for your electronics. The chassis is produced out of M1.5 Quasi Grade Graphite and includes a matching upper deck and motor mount. click on picture for larger view The newly developed shock towers for the P7500/M18 provide the chassis with the means to accept additional suspension settings through the use of stiffer springs without the side effects posed when using the stock shock locations. The stock suspention locations and mounts are provided and retained for adjustment capability. These shock towers are made out of M3.0 Quasi Grade Graphite click on picture for larger view In addition to the above performance enhancements, the P7500 includes an integrated interlocking 180 motor mount. This motor mount can provide mounting of the standard 180size motor on either side of the car (left or right). The interlocking design of this motor mount secures its position between the upper and lower deck without the use of screws. The secured position of the motor mount improves the consistency of the gear mesh. This protects the gears from damage and improves efficiency under normal operating circumstances. In addition to the 180 motor mount we have several optional motor mounts available. These include a 300size side mount (P7504m300), 180 vertical mount (P7505m180),and 300 vertical mount (P7505m300). The vertical mounts allow further electronic placement options allowing for different saddle pack style configurations by opening up additional space on the lower chassis. For those who want maximum speed we also have an optional 400size motor upgrade kit which includes a different upper deck and motor mount. click on picture for larger view The P7500 provides an almost unlimited array of methods for mounting the electroncs on the chassis. The P7500 is designed as a symmetrical chassis, this means that any component can be mounted on either the left or right side of the car including the Motor, Servo, Batteries, or anything else. The P7500 provides ten cell slots machined into the main lower deck. These slots accept KAN cells and can accomodate the original Xray mounting system or strapping tape for battery attachment. Optional are several different quick release battery mounting options. The P7509a is comprised of two 3 cell plates allowing for LTO saddle pack configurations. By using these plates you gain the ability to move the cells left and right on the chassis to further tune the weight balance of the car. The P7509b is a plate similar in use to the P7509a that allows use of 6-cell shotgun style packs on the car. This plate is semi-permanently attached down the center of the battery pack between the cells and mounts to the chassis via two screws. The last battery option is the P7509c this is a hybrid set-up consiting of one bullet style tray and one saddle. This set-up allows you to mount the bullet tray down the motor side while retaining a traditional LTO saddle on the servo side of the car. An additional option for those with larger electronics is the P7508 radio tray. This radio tray attaches to the side mount motor plates only (n/a p3508m400) and the upper deck to allow easier placement of electronics such as the reciever on the upper deck. click on picture for larger "on car" view click on picture for larger "on car" view The P7500 chassis kit includes Upper and Lower Chassis Plates made out of M1.5 Quasi-Grade woven carbon graphite plate, M2.0 180size Motor Plate, M3.0 Graphite Front and Rear Shock Towers, M3.0 Rear Stock Suspension Plates, Directions, and all hardware required to convert your Xray M18 to the P7500. |
