The PSMOD_ONE USB wheelbox is designed to be a universal fit wheel box, We estimate that this GT Sizes wheelbox will work with 90% of the wheels that you can currently buy in the GT Size range of 300 - 350mm. The PSMOD_ONE includes all of the special features that we introduced on our PS_MOD27 wheelbox to allow for easy access to functions with a very clean and intuitive design. This fully enclosed wheelbox includes 4 buttons, 2 shifters and a 12-Position CommonCoder Dial with 2 paired buttons which allow for 12 different Encoder style inputs. All of these combined give a total of 30 independent assignable button inputs. The Face plate of the PSMOD_ONE is labeled with the most commonly used designations so alternative labels are not needed. Included with the wheelbox is a set of our acclaimed PS1000 Paddle Switches with offset asymmetric GT style paddles (PS1002_06). The PSMOD_ONElc is our low cost version of the PSMOD_ONE and is functionally identical. The differences are in the materials used in the construction of the box.

Wheel Mounting:
The PSMOD_ONE MUST be used with 70mm PCD Wheels. Included are (6) M5.0 x 50 Flat Head screws. Depending on your mounting you may a spacer such as the PSW_S to securely mount the wheel.

Computer Connection:
Connect the USB cord from the wheel to your computer, Windows will automatically install the Wheel as Penguin r/c PSMOD_ONE.
Connection to your computer may require a USB Extension Cable. We offer a Dash Mount USB Extension kit for this purpose. (PSUSB_e)

Paddle Adjustments:
To adjust the Paddle Switch mounting width you will need a TORX T-8 driver to remove the 4 screws outer screws on the wheelbox. After you may remove the rear plate being careful of the Paddle connection wires. Once open you can remove the 4 screws holding the Paddle Mounting plate to the mount on the PSMOD_ONE back plate, adjust, and then reinstall.

This PSPGT3 wheel started life as a commission project for an owner of a Porsche GT3 RS who wanted a wheel for his simulator that would as closely match the the actual Porsche GT3 CUP wheel that is available through Porsche Racing, with increased functionality and of course a much lower Price tag than the $2000+ costs of the original. The Design was painstakingly revised to work with the wheel that we found as the closest in visual to the actual Sabelt Porsche GT3 CUP steering wheel. This wheel was the Sparco L360 Suede (BTW the PSPGT3 doesn't look at all bad with the original Sabelt wheel as well). There were design elements that had to be adjusted to accommodate the different design of the L360 but through it all the design was tweaked to give the wheel the same personality as the original. We chose the Graphite to be used to match the twill style used on the original as well as designed the paddles to visually represent the originals as closely as possible, From the Black Aluminum Surround buttons to the Custom Printed lettering on the wheel using a recreated typeface similar to what was used on the original wheel, everything was done to meet or exceed the quality and visual appeal of the original.

One of the goals of the PSPGT3 design was to extend the use of the wheel for simulation. The original wheel had 8 buttons and the paddle shift units, but for simulation we need more. So we went to work on deciding what would be optimal. By replacing three of the buttons with encoders we were able to allow for in car adjustments that normally wouldn't have been possible. The addition of a single button used as a SHIFT register we were able to double the use of every encoder and button to give an unprecedented number of functions to the wheel without compromising the visual appeal that the Porsche GT3 Cup wheel offers.

This particular button box was designed from the ground up for Virtual Reality running. Different encoders and switches were used based on the feel that they provided in a blind environment so that knowing what was being used at any given time would be understood even for someone using the wheel for the first time. The PSW_S is an 8mm wheel spacer for use with either M70 or M72 PCD wheels. The spacer can be used to allow for additional clearance at the back of a wheel plate or for additional button clearance when placed between the wheel box and the steering wheel. In some cases this spacer plate will allow you to not have to purchase different bolts for use with some blind hole quick releases such as the Accuforce or NRG sylte quick releases.

Rear Mount:
Place the PSW_S behind the wheelbox and any functional spacers for that wheel box. Use the mounting bolts provided for your wheel through the spacer to allow for more clearance beind the wheel box. Multiple spacers can be used if needed. (longer bolts may be required)

Front Mount:
Place the PSW_S between the wheelbox and steering wheel. This position will move the wheel box back slightly from the wheel and will provide additional clearance for buttons that reside close to the wheel. The use of the PSW_S in this manner can also allow certain wheels that will not normally work with a particular wheelbox to work, however, doing so could reduce the wheel box functionality if the wheel itself covers some controls.

The PSPCD_50 PCD adaptor was designed to allow the use of a 50.2mm PCD wheel on a 70mm PCD wheelbox or mounting. The 9mm thick plate is designed to be as thin as possible to be used surface mount to the front of a 70mm PCD unit. This mounting method allows for quick and easy conversion of wheel PCD.

Place the three M5 Nuts into the corresponding locations on the back of the Adaptor Plate. Install the PSPCD_50 plate to your system or wheel box as you would your normal wheel taking note of the pattern for the 50.2mm PCD to match the orientation of the wheel that you are going to use. Once the adaptor plate is securely installed you can attach your wheel to the plate using the three provided M5x12 flat head bolts.
